Module 9 -  AHHH.... MY LAST BLOG FOR FIVE STAR!
I feel I have grown as a professional in utilizing technology that I can share with others in my science department.  It may be using baby steps, but I know I have learned things that others can benefit from  for the ultimate benefit of our students.  Thank you for the information and the small boost toward improvement in my classroom, as well as the others in my department.  The students interest will be peaked by continuing to grow with all the new things we learned and can share.

I think if someone looked at my digital footprint, they would see the type of person I am in the family and professional descriptions, as well as get a visual of the type of person I am by the pictures that are shared.  We can help our children with leaving a positive digital footprint in giving them the opportunity and showing them the value of the information that they share. Although what we post can sometimes be misinterpreted, we can only do our best to monitor and guide ( as well as occasionally edit ) how we represent ourselves in the best light to others by being a positive and moral person.

I think a great way of maintaining and accessing information that won't get " lost" from one year to the next is to use a tool like Dropbox that can be accessed from any computer you are associated with. That way, if information is lost on your school computer , it can be retrieved from another of your computers that you work with ( maybe from home ) . This happened to me last year and I had to start all over again- Dropbox has given me a highly affective tool to use so this will not ever happen again!

 I love the authentic assessment module and think it is essential for our students to take so that they may experience more than the true/ false and m/choice answers instead forcing the creative and realworld aspect to understanding in a lesson.

In looking at the rubric for utilizing SAMR , I would consider myself in the ADAPTATION stage moving into the INFUSION phase of the rubric.  I find my advanced students in particular are more comfortable and knowledgeable in the use of technology and will seek out different ways of utilizing it in their projects that I assign them without me having to instruct them on the use of specific pieces of technology.  I even find that most times, they help me!!! One of the best ways of learning ( for myself also ) is to teach!

I hope this is the beginning to something that I will use in class on a regular basis.  I need the easy to follow steps as I'm not too exceptional at new technology aspects--- but.... I'll try!!
